Description

Innovation, passion and tradition have been passed down for generations. The Schweder family has been running the winery in Hochstadt/Pfalz on the Southern Wine Route since 1898. With 19 hectares of cultivated vineyards, the focus is particularly on Burgundy and Piwi grape varieties (wines of the future), as these grow particularly well on the deep loam-loess soil around Hochstadt and produce excellent wines. Henrik Schweder is now the fifth generation to be responsible for the winery. During his studies in viticulture and oenology, he worked in several wineries where he deepened his knowledge. He went from the German Wine Route to the Mosel, Burgundy, Wachau and Sonoma Valley in California.
