Welcome to Hochstadt, a village steeped in history in the Palatinate.
As early as 776, Hochstadt was mentioned in a document of the Lorsch monastery as "Stätte des Hoho", although the name is not connected with "hoch".
The municipality was created on June 7, 1969 by merging the previously independent municipalities of Niederhochstadt and Oberhochstadt as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform. It was assigned to the association municipality of Offenbach an der Queich in 1972.
Discover the sights of Hochstadt, including the fascinating loess hollow paths, the Hochstadt Tower (also known as the Houschder Winzerturm) or the educational wine trail. You can also enjoy a ride on the trolley train and immerse yourself in the delightful surroundings of this charming Palatinate municipality.
By the way: The 58th German Wine Queen Katja Schweder (reign 2006 / 2007) comes from Hochstadt.
