Description

A work by sculptor Gernot Rumpf, the Leatherstocking Fountain, commemorates the famous son of the town of Edekoben, Johann Adam Hartmann, on the square in front of the Kurpfalzsaal. The emigrant and ranger was the model for James Fenimore Cooper's well-known Lerderstrumpf tales.
