The Ramburg was built in the 12th century to protect the Trifels. It was destroyed in both the Peasants' War and in the 30-year war and never rebuilt. Impressive is the large basement rocks, all of which were hewn out of the rock.
The ruins are on signposted trails of Ramberg made accessible at all times.
