Winefestival in Knöringen: Amselkerwe

On Mother's Day weekend, the Amselkerwe is celebrated in Knöringen on the former schoolyard at the community center and in the community hall.
The name comes from the fact that in former times an ox (called blackbird = Amsel) was driven through the village for this occasion.
