At Keschdefeschd, which will be held from 7 to 8 October 2023 in Annweiler am Trifels, numerous stalls will provide dishes and products made using the sweet chestnut. There are sweet and hearty variations, such as chestnut jam, chestnut liqueur, pig's stomachs stuffed with chestnuts, chestnut soup, chestnut flambé, chestnut bread, chestnut beer and chestnut dumplings. Regional and seasonal products are will also be sold at the market, including Federweisser, game, steamed dumplings, crepes, fruit and vegetables, French cheese and sheep products.
On festival Saturday, the 19th chestnut princess for the Trifelsland will be crowned, the first and only one in Germany. To whom the reigning Keschdeprinzessin Klaudia I. passes on her crown, will of course not be revealed until the coronation. The Keschdefeschd is classified as a festival for all.
