At Keschdefeschd, which will be held from 1 to 3 October 2022 in Annweiler am Trifels, numerous stalls will provide dishes and products made using the sweet chestnut. There are sweet and hearty variations, such as chestnut jam, chestnut liqueur, pig's stomachs stuffed with chestnuts, chestnut soup, chestnut flambé, chestnut bread, chestnut beer and chestnut dumplings. Regional and seasonal products are will also be sold at the market, including Federweisser, game, steamed dumplings, crepes, fruit and vegetables, French cheese and sheep products. The forestry office has an information stand and the church square around the town church will also be involved in the market activities.
On festival Saturday, the 18th chestnut princess for the Trifelsland will be crowned, the first and only one in Germany. To whom the reigning Keschdeprinzessin Catherine I. passes on her crown, will of course not be revealed until the coronation. The Keschdefeschd is classified as a festival for all.
