A church in Gossersweiler can be traced back to 1309. However, the medieval church no longer exists. In 1766-68, a new church building was created in the Baroque style. The architect Alois Atzberger then planned a modern extension, which was built in 1971-1974. The old furnishings were largely preserved. The Karlsruhe artist Emil Wachter designed the modern art glazing and the concrete glazing in the prayer room.
