Weingut Mühlhäuser

Vineyards wherever you look, the edge of the Palatinate Forest in view and Alsace not far away: on the Southern Wine Route, in the middle of the Bad Bergzabern countryside, lies our home village of Niederhorbach. And in the middle, near the church, stands the stately house, once built by a proud father for his two children. The big little "m" that describes the two green farm gates today stands not only for the name of the family that welcomes you here.

But also for what you can expect. Today, we cultivate our passion for wine here. Lucas Mühlhäuser, after training as a viticultural technician and intensive experience abroad, is responsible for the cellar and vinification. Father Bernd Mühlhäuser prefers to work outside and likes to retreat to his distillery, where he transforms his own fruit into high-proof distillates. In the southern Palatinate, in the small wine village of Niederhorbach, my wines grow on 19 hectares of vineyards.

Among the whites are Riesling, Burgundy varieties, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer. Variety also in red: Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, but also the southern types such as Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon belong to my passion.
