High above Vorderweidenthal and Oberschlettenbach towers the Rödelstein, one of the mightiest rock bastions in the Palatinate. Its elongated south face magically attracted the rock climbers of the first generation. The main rock is not accessible to hikers, the Westfels, on the other hand, can be easily scrambled and invites you to a leisurely hour with a view and picnic delicacies from your backpack.
