The church (formerly St. Bartholmäus) was built in the Renaissance period and expanded in the 18th century. The organ with carvings from the late Rococo was built and inaugurated by Johann Carl Baumann in 1773/74. It is one of the oldest organs in Germany. The church is one of the cultural monuments of the place.
