We produce various types of tree fruit on 10 hectares in and around Hochstadt. The fruit season starts in June with sweet cherries, followed by apricots, peaches and nectarines. From July, we harvest plums and the first early apples. In total, our assortment includes 20 peach varieties and 40 apple and pear varieties.
Among the apple varieties, by the way, we have several historical varieties in our assortment that are suitable for allergy sufferers. Regionality, seasonality and short transport distances to the consumer are of great importance to us, which is why we sell our fruit exclusively at the nearby weekly market in Landau and in our farm shop in Hochstadt. Our offer in the farm shop is extended by seasonal organic vegetables, potatoes, honey from the beekeeper, partly from our own fruit blossom, free-range eggs, Palatinate oils, and more...
All apples that are not suitable for fresh consumption due to minor defects and flaws, we process into crispy apple chips and up to 13 varieties of natural apple juices. Since 2016, we have been running a farm café with 80 seats outside and 30 seats in two cosy heated construction trailers. Here you can enjoy breakfast with many of our own and regional products, coffee and home-baked cakes, ice cream, waffles, all our juices and small seasonal dishes.
