In the heart of the Southern Wine Route, surrounded by vineyards on the slopes of the Palatinate Forest, lies the community of Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach. In a sea of vines with a view over the entire Rhine plain to the Black Forest, unforgettable hours can be spent.

The Palatinate way of life, which is especially expressed in Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach, can be experienced and enjoyed here to the fullest.
The local winegrowers also invite you to discover the long history of winegrowing in our community during a wine tasting. The community is especially known for the Muskateller grape variety. Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach is Germany's largest contiguous cultivation area of this grape variety, which offers a special taste not only as a wine, but already as a grape. A discovery tour in the vineyards is offered by the specially established Muskateller circular hiking trail through Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach. Of course, all of this can best be experienced around harvest time in the fall, at one of the community's two wine festivals. When the grape harvest is in full swing, the autumn sun once again shines down on the Southern Palatinate, and the leaves of the sea of vines slowly shine in different colors: Then the door opens to locals and guests to enjoy a good glass of Gleiszell wine together with ideas and delicacies of the Palatinate cuisine in the rustic ambience of the Winzergasse.
But Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach is not only worth a visit in autumn. Already in spring, at the time of the almond blossom, the numerous almond trees transform the Muskatellter community into a pink sea of blossoms. Then the village awakens from hibernation, and attracts with mild temperatures to the festival of almond blossom. Here, the Palatinate way of life, the Gleiszell wine, our hospitality as well as the Palatinate cuisine can be tasted and lived during a cozy get-together. And also during the year the Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach restaurateurs invite again and again to festivals and events, in order to inspire both locals and guests. Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach has therefore been awarded the title of "State-recognized tourist community" by the state ministry.
