With the fundamental redesign of the Kreuzgarten in 2003, another jewel of inner-city green spaces was created. This measure was initiated and largely financed by the Verein der Blumen- und Gartenfreunde e.V. on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The garden, which is adjacent to the Augustinian Church and enclosed by a cloister, was completely redesigned based on historical models. A cross divides the area into four lawns, which are bordered by box hedges, high-trunk roses and perennials. In the center of the garden is a baptismal font from around 170, provided by the Augustinian Church, from which water now gushes. Benches invite you to linger in the romantic flair of this oasis in the middle of the city center. The Kreuzgarten is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
