At the Keschdefeschd from 05 to 06 October 2024 in Annweiler am Trifels, numerous stalls offer dishes and products from and with the sweet chestnut. There are sweet and hearty variations, for example chestnut cream, chestnut liqueur, chestnut honey, chestnut flatbread, chestnut mustard and chestnut bread. In addition, regional and seasonal products are offered at the market such as new wine, game, French cheese and sheep products.
On festival Saturday, the 20th chestnut princess for the Trifelsland will be crowned, the first and only one in Germany. To whom the reigning Keschdeprinzessin Lucia I. passes on her crown, will of course not be revealed until the coronation. The Keschdefeschd is classified as a "festival for all."
