Memorial stone Geraidestuhl of the Mittelhaingeraide

A Thingstuhl or Dingstuhl refers to a medieval courthouse. The memorial stone is located on the site of the former court of the district of Mittelhaingeraide, which consisted of the villages of Dernbach, Ramberg, Burrweiler, Flemlingen, Roschbach, Gleisweiler, Böchingen and Walsheim. Until the district was dissolved in 1820, meetings and jurisprudence were held here in the open air.
