Weingut Ökonomierat Johannes Kleinmann

Mathias Kleinmann runs the Ökonomierat Kleinmann winery and cultivates around 15 hectares of vines. He has inherited these in the best locations in the Southern Palatinate, which make his wine so outstanding. For example, his Rieslings thrive on Rotliegend and slate in the famous Birkweiler Kastanienbusch. Mandelberg and Rosenberg are also among his vineyards. Mathias Kleinmann is particularly fond of Pinot Blanc. This grows on shell limestone and red sandstone, matures in wood - often with a subtle touch of barrique - and impresses with a lot of flavour and balance. According to him, this is his second great love after his wife. The philosophy of the Ökonomierat Johannes Kleinmann winery lies in consistent quality selection in the vineyard and in the cellar. For the winegrower, quality means not only striving for must weights, but also the careful and sustainable treatment of nature.
