The history of our winery dates back to the 17th century. Since the 1980s, we have been run purely as a winery, focussing on the production of high-quality wines.

The vineyards around Appenhofen have a centuries-old tradition. While the agricultural land in many of the surrounding villages was used as meadows and for arable farming for a long time, our ancestors recognised early on that the skeleton-rich soils around Appenhofen are very suitable for vines.

The diversity of our soils ranges from heavy limestone and clay soils to lighter loess soils, giving us plenty of scope for independent, varied and characterful wines.
