Papiermuseum

Opened for the first time in June 2006, the museum is located in the newly designed vaulted cellar of the Kurpfälzische Zehnthof in Gleisweiler. The volunteer staff is happy to introduce visitors to the art of paper making, and along the way they learn a lot about the history of paper, as well as the craft and art associated with it. Thanks to many exhibits from the former Gleisweiler paper mill and numerous loans, it was possible to present the many facets of modern and traditional papermaking in an educational and illustrative way. On opening days or by appointment, visitors have the opportunity to make their own paper in the modern workshop.
