Peter Siener is a big guy with a generous and fun-loving nature, whose thoughtful side sometimes comes to the fore - and so are his wines: he seems to be reflected in them. None of his wines are small - from litre wines to the best vineyard growths. Light-footed and superficially charming wines with little backbone are simply not his thing, and he is consistent enough not to produce them in the first place. His expressive dry white wines have plenty of power, flavour and extract without ever appearing heavy. His Pinot Noirs taste even more powerful (also because they contain quite a lot of tart tannins) and have a style all of their own that is otherwise not to be found in the Palatinate. And that is exactly what he strives for. Peter has long realised that winegrowers who, like him, have dedicated themselves body and soul to their beautiful profession and want to reach the very top, have no choice but to produce distinctive wines (Stuart Pigott in European Fine Wine Magazine).
