The four pieces from "La Petite Pâtisserie" (The Little Pastry Shop) by Jacques Leclair enter into direct dialogue with their culinary models - in the literal sense: at our matinee, the top Alsatian pastry chef Daniel Rebert will be present in person to talk about his art. Our five woodwind players will frame the delicacies with two suites: "Le Tombeau du Couperin" by Maurice Ravel, a bow by the great impressionist to his fellow baroque composer Louis Couperin, and with the contrasting suite for oboe, clarinet and bassoon by Alexandre Tansman, a Frenchman by choice born in Poland.
A plate of sweet and savory delights by Daniel Rebert is included in the ticket price....
