Firecrackers will mark the start of the market. On both days, several medieval music and dance groups will entertain the audience throughout the castle grounds in colourful costumes, with all kinds of strange instruments, in line with ancient custom. Knight battles, market court and camp life, crossbow and archery, and medieval music complete the programme. Several stalls will sell food and drinks that were served to the knights and damsels in the castle's heyday. There will also be regional products and a renunciation of fast food.
Music performances, medieval stalls and a children's programme will be organised in the upper ward of the castle.
In the lower ward of the castle, there will be craft stalls, arts and crafts, archery and crossbow shooting, a large knight's camp, and food and drinks made according to old recipes.
The Musikanteland Museum and Geoskop (Prehistoric Museum) will be open.
The market will open at 12 p.m. on Saturday, 26 June 2021 (12 p.m. to 11 p.m.) and begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, 27 June 2021 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
