On the Sunday before the feast of the Assumption of Christ, we go up in Dahn. Then there is the May Market, where old and young from all over the area meet. The Dahner Maimarkt has been occupied since the 19th century. Merchants and flying merchants then came to the village to offer goods that were badly needed after the cold winter for the upcoming work in the forest, hallway, garden and household.
Even today, shopping is still the focus of the Dahner Maimarkt. The members of the advertising circle then traditionally invite you to the open-sale Sunday and present their packed shelves with a rich selection of the current collections - whether in the fashion, decoration, household or car industry. And in some years, market people still come from outside to expand the local offer on that day, as it once did.
