Our family business cultivates about 6 hectares of vineyards in Maikammer and the surrounding area. The farm was handed over to Sophie, Christoph and Stefan Ernst in 2012. Everyone contributes their interests and skills. The senior Hermann supports in all areas and is particularly involved in looking after our guests in the Straußwirtschaft. Our wines are mainly from traditional grape varieties such as Riesling and Burgundy. When choosing the grape varieties, we pay particular attention to the harmony with the diverse soils of our vineyards. The production of wines that are typical for their variety and full of character is our main focus. Quality begins in the vineyard, which is why we do not expect the highest yields, but the best grapes. Quality-oriented pruning, a late harvest, careful grape selection and must weights above the legal requirements help us to achieve this goal.
