In 1659, it was Wolff Kein who laid the foundation for today's winery in picturesque Hainfeld in the Palatinate. Today, siblings Barbara and Peter Klein, who complement each other perfectly, are responsible for the excellent wines. Barbara bustles back and forth every day between the vinotheque, office and also the cellar, where Peter is the creative mind behind the wines, snacking all day in the fall as he drives through the vineyards to time the perfect harvest. Together they have taken the winery to a whole new level over the past 10 years. The interplay of climate, soil and a great deal of intuition produces wines that reflect the refreshing, juicy character of this dynamic growing region. Starting in 2022, we will cultivate around 30 hectares of vineyards in the best Hainfeld sites according to the guidelines of the KUW (Controlled Environmentally Friendly). Our flagship is certainly the Grüner Veltliner. Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, but also the Scheurebe are rightly back on the wine list and inspire young and old. With the construction of a new vinotheque in the town center, we finally have the space we lacked for years at Weinstraße 38. In our new KleinOd with the house number 41 we welcome our guests since 2021 in historic walls with a garden to stroll and finally without annoying parking and re-parking. A handful of dates gives all guests from near and far the opportunity to get to know us and our wines even better. We look forward to seeing you!
