Weyher - located four kilometers southwest of Edenkoben, nestled between the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve and the Rhine. Without a doubt, an idyllic spot: sun-drenched and with a spectacular view across the expanse of the plain to the Black Forest. But above all, it is a place that wine lovers should remember - and in connection with one name: the Graf von Weyher winery. The winery, which has been family-owned for generations, has attracted increasing attention in recent years. This is certainly also due to the just completed generational change - because since father Otmar got reinforcement by his sons Peter and Jürgen, the winery is literally showered with awards. The highlight so far: 1st place in the international "Best of Riesling" competition, in which 2,000 wines from all over the world were tasted. The award from the German Wine Institute for Best Muscat of Germany 2017. The award from the German Food Society and the German Wine Institute for Second Best Young Winemaker of Germany 2017/2018 for cellar master Peter Graf. More recently, the Second Grand State Honorary Award from the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture was added for the "sustained high quality of the wines" - in the competitions "Die junge Südpfalz" and "Generation Pfalz", the winery once again reached the top 10 and top 20 respectively.
