Weingut Fritz Klein

Rooted in Niederhorbach in the southern Palatinate, we vinify wines that reflect the varietal character as well as our soils and the region.

Two formerly independent wineries have merged into today's family winery through the marriage of Fritz and Christiane. This history is due to the fact that today we cultivate our approx. 15 hectares of vineyards, half in the Heuchelheim and half in Niederhorbach. The foundation for our wines is laid in the vineyard - in doing so, we treat the vines, soil and nature very carefully.

Since 2019, the next generation is now in the starting blocks.

With the 2020 vintage Maximilian has created his new wine line for the first time.

The Riesling and Burgundy varieties (Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris & Pinot Noir, Chardonnay) make up the largest percentage. In addition, other grape varieties such as St. Laurent, Gewürztraminer and Muscat feel at home with us.

Tradition combined with innovation should be the guiding principle for the future of our winery.
