During the opening hours of the Weinbiethaus (554 MASL) can you also be able to climb the Weinbiet tower (136 MASL) from where you can enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view over the Rhine plain. The planning of the Weinbiethaus started in 1925 and the cabin is constructed out of red sandstone. The cabin was finished a year later to a cost of 15,000 Reichsmark. It was inaugurated on June 3, 1928. It is operated by the Palatinate Forest Association Gimmeldingen and is located on the summit plateau with the same name as the Cabin, the Weinbiet, which belongs to the Haardt.
