Trifterlebnispfad - Original Gandertklause - Information board 13
The Gandertklause is located in this remote valley. It is still almost original with a large sandstone lid on the drainage structure, as the small spring stream has not been able to develop any destructive force over the last 120 years.
Here, as in the textbook, the typical arrangement of a side stream sluice can be seen: natural stream > woog > toos basin with drift channel and lateral boller place for stacking the wood. Then follows a very high and imposing drop (rumple) to compensate for the steep gradient. From the crossing of the path, no channel can be detected - up to the Legelbach, there might have been a wooden chute.
