At 12 stations you will walk through pictures and texts for reflection and enjoyment. Integrated into the magnificent Palatinate region, the Biblical Wine Trail leads along easily accessible, level paths, which are also easy to master for people with a handicap.
Column no. 10 - The wedding of Cana
In Cana the wedding wine runs out. Jesus rejects Mary, who tells him: "my hour has not yet come", but then he transforms 600 litres of water into the best wine - a miracle? A sign! For it was not so much the wine that ran out as the love in the symbol of wine. In truth, Jesus is here the Bridegroom who gives his Bride, the People of God, in the greatest fullness and quality, the love that she has lost - now still in the sign, then truly at her death on the cross, her "hour" when her word is fulfilled: "no one has greater love than he who gives his life for his friends.
