Stadtmühle & Weingut Augspurger

Our mill grinds flours, groats and semolina from wheat, rye and spelt. The grain we grind, like our grapes, enjoys the Mediterranean climate and thrives in the warming rays of the sun. By cultivating them with care, we ensure that they do not harm the environment. Our goal is to build an environmentally friendly company that produces regional and therefore controllable products. We offer wheat, spelt and rye flour.

The town mill was first mentioned in a document in 1430. The town wall and the battlement in the building are still preserved. After a fire in 1888, the flour mill was rebuilt. The town mill has been in our family since 1881. An overshot iron water wheel is still in operation today, processing grain from the region.

The Augspurger family has lived in Bad Bergzabern for eight generations. During this time they have always been involved in the milling business. The fourth generation of the family now lives and works in the town mill.
