Description

Schillerplatz was formerly the New Market Square. It received its name on the occasion of the centenary of Friedrich Schiller's death on May 9, 1905. There is a mosaic by the Grünstadt artist Karl Unverzagt on the stairs. It shows the development of the Leininger coat of arms. During the Advent season, the Grünstadt Christmas market takes place on Schillerplatz.
