Description

The "Cramer-Pfad 1904" knight's stone stands at the foot of the Wetterberg. Rittersteine were erected by the Palatinate Forest Association at notable points in the Palatinate Forest at the beginning of the 20th century. The stones were named after the founding chairman of the PWV, Karl Albrecht von Ritter.

The stone here commemorates the forestry office assessor at the Annweiler forestry office, Heinrich Cramer, who initiated the construction of a hiking trail linking the two hiking destinations Reichsburg Trifels and Madenburg. The path was also created by the Palatinate Forest Association and is named the "Cramer Path" in honor of the capable forester.

A picnic set invites you to catch your breath and take a break.
