Vineyard Kastanienbusch

The Seligmacher vineyard is located in the Ranschbach Valley around the small winegrowing village of Ranschbach.

Part of the vineyard has been classified as VDP.ERSTE LAGE. It is located on the sunny southern slope of the mountain Kastanienbusch, which is why it is quite steep in some parts by Palatinate standards.

The soil of the Seligmacher is characterized by shell limestone in the east. The stones quickly absorb the warmth of the sun and slowly pass it on to the vines. Towards the west, the soil changes to red sandstone and Rotliegendes.
