Ludwigsturm

Weyher in der Pfalz

Description

The Ludwig Tower on the Blattersberg, above the wine village of Weyher, is one of the highest towers in the Palatinate Forest and offers the best view of the central Palatinate Forest, the Haardt and the Rhine plain 400 meters below. 75 steps lead up to the observation platform. The tower was named after King Ludwig I of Bavaria - at a time when the Palatinate fell under his regency.
