In the Palatinate Forest, one of the largest forest areas in Germany, the lynx is to be given the right to return to one of its original distribution areas. The cross-border biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest-North Vosges offers excellent living conditions for the lynx. Here there is enough space for the large areas that the lynx needs for hunting and enough game. He finds rocks and manifold, trouble-free forest areas that offer him and his young people retreat.
