Two pairs of trains run on the line from April to October. The first journey of the day starts between 10 and 11 a.m. in Neustadt, where the last journey from Elmstein ends between 6 and 7 p.m. The other two journeys start and end in Lambrecht. The journey between Lambrecht and Elmstein takes about one hour. The current times can be found here: www.eisenbahnmuseum-neustadt.de/k_preis.html The trains of the Cuckoo Railway usually run from platform 5 of the main station of Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Over a stretch of just under seven kilometres, the trains travel along the double-track electrified Mannheim-Saarbrücken railway line, passing through the Wolfsberg tunnel. At Lambrecht station, the trains of the Cuckoo railway usually stop on platform 1. Ticket prices range from €5 to €25; children, families and groups receive a discount. Tickets for the Cuckoo Railway are also valid in the connecting suburban railway between Lambrecht and Neustadt. The tickets are sold at the Cuckoo Railway counter on platform 5 at Neustadt station and at the counter at Elmstein station. If the ticket counters are closed or if there are no counters at the stops along the way, tickets can be purchased from the conductor.
