The borderland community of Kapsweyer with about 1,000 inhabitants is located in the midst of designated nature reserves between the Haardtrand and the Bienwald. It is an ideal starting point for hikes and bicycle tours. Transport connections are via the L546 or by public transport such as bus and train. Kapsweyer has its own train stop and is connected with Landau-Neustadt/Karlsruhe or Weißenburg/Straßburg every hour. Sights in the community are the fresco in the choir of the church St. Ulrich and the fountain sculpture by Jürgen Görtz at the village square.
All the associations working in the Kulturring contribute to a lively and varied cultural and club life. Depending on your interests, there are many opportunities to join a club and become actively involved.
For children under the age of six there is the possibility to attend the kindergarten with a wide range of childcare facilities in the village. Four play islands spread throughout the village complete the offer for the youngest in the community.
