The Goldbrunnen in the Breitenbachtal valley near Esthal is a natural monument that once served as the community's water supply. It takes its name from its delicious drinking water. The water is forced through the sand from below. As a result, the surface is quite calm, although the spring supplies a lot of water.
In 1898, the municipality of Esthal acquired the well from the then forest owner Count de Arlon.
