The Silver Lake lies between Landstuhl and Kindsbach. He is owned by the Angler Sport Club Landstuhl. Before 1960, here was an agricultural hill. The original terrain level can be seen at the location of the opposite power pole. For the causeway of the highway, the road builders found here the suitable red sand.
During the dismantling work unexpectedly came to some sources, which made the further exploitation very difficult. After switching off the pumps, today's lake was formed. We owe our present appearance to the Angler-Sport-Club Landstuhl, who leased the area first and then bought it step by step.
The name "Silbersee" has come from the vernacular and may go back in part to Karl May's "Schatz im Silbersee".
