Felsenmeer

On the ridge of the Hüttenberg, there are numerous rock fragments and unusual rock formations of the red sandstone, known as Felsenmeer, over a length of about 400 m. You can either walk over and through the rocks, or you can walk underneath the rock formations and look up at the rocks from below. The most famous rocks are the Hausfelsen with a height of almost 19 m and the Kugelfelsen.

The Felsenmeer can be reached on foot via numerous beautiful hiking trails, e.g. from the Kalmit hiking car park, Breitenberg, Hüttenhohl/Römer Wachtstube, St. Martiner Tal.
