Briefmarkeneck

The "Briefmarkeneck" at Mühlstraße 27 is a winegrower's house from the late Baroque period. The house with the beautiful bay window served as the motif for a 20 pfennig stamp after the Second World War in 1948 and has been a popular photo motif ever since. The painting in the shadow of the bay window, by the St. Martin painter Richard Platz, depicts the Last Supper. The building was once occupied by a forester who was in the service of the "Hundt von Saulheim" nobility.
