Welcome to Bornheim in the Palatinate!
The charming village invites you to visit. Works of art such as "Himmel und Erde" (Heaven and Earth) and the "Storchennest" (Stork's Nest) already characterize the approach. In Bornheim, the Protestant church, the town hall and the Rhineland-Palatinate Stork Center with the relief "The Creation" are impressive.
Bornheim is proud to be the Rhineland-Palatinate stork village and is home to over 30 pairs of storks with fascinating nests. The stork barn allows stork watching all year round, and the stork center provides information about these majestic birds. During the months of April to July, the storks delight visitors with their lively chatter in the nests and the care station.
During the Advent season, Bornheim presents itself as a nativity scene village with over 100 lovingly decorated nativity scenes in historical and modern styles. At nightfall, the nativity scenes and festive lighting light up, transforming Bornheim into an atmospheric place of inner peace and awakening the traditional Advent feeling. This magical place owes its Christmassy atmosphere to the dedicated residents who set up their nativity scenes in courtyards and gardens year after year, transforming Bornheim into a true nativity scene paradise during the Advent season.
We look forward to your visit!
