Let your soul dangle and look relaxed at the water. The pit was built in the 1970s/80s from clay mining. After the clay mining was stopped at the end of the 90s and the subsequent renaturation, a species-rich habitat for animals and plants has developed here.

This place is great for a picnic. At the Biotopweiher Alte Tongrube there are picnic and relaxation benches.
To be on the safe side, you should pack a blanket to avoid the meadow. Please take your garbage back with you after the picnic and dispose of it properly.
