Old town center of Rodalben around the Marienkirche (here there is a Wi-Fi hotspot) with historical buildings such as the old town hall, the former Graefensteiner Oberforstamt and Amtshaus as well as the birthplace of the most famous son of the city, Dr. Johann Peter Frank (born March 19, 1745 in Rodalben; died April 24, 1821 in Vienna). He was a German doctor and is considered the founder of public hygiene and a health service based on social medicine. The adjacent square, also named after him, with a fountain and several sandstone and metal sculptures was designed by the local artist Stephan Müller. His studio is at Pfarrstrasse 20 (www.ateliermueller-rodalben.de). In the nearby House of Culture at Schulstrasse 9 there is the Dr. Johann Peter Frank Museum. Guided tours can be arranged by calling 06331/17101. The old schoolhouse is also close to the House of Culture - also on Schulstrasse.
