From castles and brush makers

In every season Ramberg has an attractive surrounding. In spring many blossoms of the fruit trees like apple and cherries are shining within the fresh green of the whole nature. In autumn the chestnuts ripen and are well tasting together with the new wine. There are many possibilities for hiking to castles and hills with fantastic views. And you can have a nice time in the forest huts, tasting palatian culinary specialties like Bratwurst (sausages), Leberknödel (liver dumpling) and Dampfnudeln (small yeast cakes with wine or custard sauce). The castles around the village are Ramburg, Meistersel and Neuscharfeneck, connected with the hiking trail "Drei Burgen Weg". From the castles you have a fantastic view over the Palatinate Forest and the Southern Winestreet.

Ramberg is famous for its brushes and brooms. More than 100 years ago, almost every resident in the village manufactured brushes and brooms at home. Today there are two factories left, where you can buy the products for taking home.
